Clipper and Other Transit Benefit Programs

Clipper also works with these transit benefit programs:

How to Use

  • TranBen® Checks
  • TransitChek® Vouchers

Load value onto your Clipper card at any Clipper retailer, transit agency ticket office or Clipper Customer Service Center.

  • TransitChek QuickPay Card
  • Beniversal®/eTRAC® Prepaid MasterCard
  • Other pre-paid transit benefit debit cards that do not require a PIN

Add value to your Clipper card online at, at transit agency ticket offices and machines, at Clipper Add Value Machines, at Clipper Customer Service Centers or by phone.

If you add value to your card at a retailer, Clipper Customer Service Center, ticket office, ticket machine or Clipper Add Value Machine, your value is immediately available to use.

When you add value to your Clipper card either online or over the phone, your value will not be available immediately. Learn about when your value will be available.

You can use a transit benefit debit card to set up Autoload for automatic reloading, but we recommend setting up a regular credit card as a backup payment card in your account. If funds are not available on your transit benefit card, Clipper will charge your backup card, you will get your order, and your Clipper card will never be blocked due to insufficient funds.
